CHIESA DI SANTO STEFANO IN FONTANAROSSA GORRETO(GE) CONSERVAZIONE DELLE STRUTTURE LITICHE NEL CONTESTO RURALE

ABSTRACT

The report aims the restoration project of the Church of Santo Stefano at the cemetery in Fontanarossa in Gorreto (GE) by the Soprintendenza. The ancient church  at one nave masonry stone made have quadrangular bell toweris of particular interest as regards the preservation of a building structure with vertical stone face view and the identification of materials compatible in terms of warranty structural safety, durability and readability. The restoration aim was the use of local materials available and easy preparation of reversible methods, starting by preliminary analytical protocols structural, archaeometric and materials for the purpose of a preliminary assessment of feasibility. The analytical investigation involved more the authors and the restoration workshop of the Soprintendenza, the DISEG departiment of university of Genoa. The structural analysis led in numerical terms, after consolidating the masonry using lime injection and also with reference of the snow load, the lose roof recovery. The type of construction by treating rural architecture of buildings in the area of high Trebbia and in particular in the municipality Gorreto. Such buildings as the Fieschis Palace constitute a cultural rural outdoors and must be made accessible to visitors with restoration techniques compatible with the knowledge of local workers.
