ABSTRACT

The consolidation and refurbishment of the Ancient Church of San Pietro all’Olmo in Cornaredo (Milan)

represents arelevant example inthefield ofdiagnosis, conservation and, mainly, valorization ofarchitectural

and archeological cultural heritages. Diagnostic investigations, surveys, design proposals, dialogues and

contacts with the Costumer, Community of Cornaredo, Curia and Superintendence have marked the phases

ofalongprocessofknowledge.

This process, complex and sometimes surprising, has brought to a convincing final project and an accurate

execution in which, unfortunately, the most innovative solutions related to the fruition of space, have not

completelyshared.

heritage can be reached by adopting innovative solutions, designed “ad hoc”, able to integrate with all the

needsofthebuilding,andincludinganonconventionalpathforvisitingthemonument.
