ABSTRACT

This text is dedicated to present the project of valorization of the Roman road Via Annia, connecting

Aquileia and a more southerly location, passing through Concordia, Altino, Padua and Adria. This project,

developed between 2007 and 2010, involved research departments of some universities and other public

institutions, through the realization of specific exhibition spaces dedicated to Via Annia inside the

archaeological museums in this territory, two scientific congresses, a system of panels for visitors located

neareacharchaeologicalsite,aguidebook,amapofarchaeologicalsitesandmuseums.

The first research target was to make visitors perceive the possibility to run along an archaeological route

dedicated to Via Annia, linked to a network of different places (sites, museums, town centers) through

different means of transport (particularly referred to slow mobility). The second was to make visitors reach

every site and museum along Via Annia through an integrated system of visual media (traffic signals,

didacticpanels,guide,map).

Exhibition design tools and methods were applied to conceive and realize this integrated system, that will be

possible to implement through progressive additions of modules for visual media (QR code, augmented

reality)tothebasicinfrastructurejustrealizedthroughtheprojectinthisarchaeologicallandscape.
