ABSTRACT

This paper proposes preventive and scheduled maintenance as an innovation process where sustainability founds on a prevention strategy based on systematic monitorig and on daily maintenance. Then is described the conservation work carried out on the castel of Ponti sul Mincio where the long term vision substantiate itself by adpting the preventive and scheduled maintenance plan, but also by designing the monument accessibility as a prerequisite to the prevention.
